Hello! My name is Donaldo Almazan - I’m an artist, engineer, and maker based in Houston, TX. I’m passionate about open-source hardware, decentralized technology, and public science.

Inspiration

I’m inspired by automatons, mimicing biological processes. Some ideas I have for my IC design include: a cellular automaton, cyberfungi, and modeling a neuron.

Current Projects

My current projects include the Community Systems Working Group, a maker collective developing decentralized infrastructure for collaboration; event organizer for the Houston Robotics Group;and collaborator on the WHI Living Lab, a permaculture-based garden lab at the HCC IdeaStudio Fablab.

I’m excited to explore microelectronics as a total beginner to IC design
