About me¶

Luis Angel Díaz-Faes Santiago¶
I’m a multimedia producer based in Vigo (Spain), working across design, digital audio, video, 3D, and web, with a passion for making and experimenting with technology.
I’m a Fab Academy graduate (2022) and an active digital fabrication instructor, and I’m involved with A Industriosa, a local technology association, helping run projects and support the community.
I enjoy combining creativity with open-source tools, project management, and initiatives that bring people together around tech.
Analog synthesizers¶
I’m very interested in taking this course because I want to understand the full chip-design pipeline and apply it to real projects. Fourteen years ago I started building my modular synthesizer, replicating community-available PCBs and acquiring remarkable modules from different manufacturers, which taught me a lot about analog design, calibration, and prototyping.
At A Industriosa we’re developing a project focused on recreating analog modular synthesizers, and I’d love to take the next step toward modules that integrate chips designed by us—for example, oscillator cores (VCO/DCO), envelope generators, LFOs, or control logic for modulation and sync. I’m especially interested in exploring approaches such as wavetable/DDS, PWM, waveshaping, and digital control of analog parameters, to generate unconventional waveforms and expand our synthesis capabilities. The goal is to build a solid, reproducible, and well-documented technology base that we can integrate and evolve in future modules.
