I am Rinchen Khandu, Teacher at Drukgyel Cenytral School, Paro.

My background

I was born in Paro, Doteng is a beautiful rural village located in the district of Paro, Bhutan. Surrounded by green hills, forests, and scenic landscapes, it is known for its peaceful environment and rich cultural heritage. The area is home to farming communities that preserve traditional Bhutanese customs and lifestyles. Doteng also offers visitors opportunities to experience nature, local traditions, and the tranquility of rural Bhutan.

Project A

I am working with the RENEW as a DAISAN Focal Person and serving as a CBSS member. Through these roles, I support initiatives related to community well-being, awareness raising, and the prevention of violence, while promoting a safe and supportive environment for women, children, and vulnerable groups.

Project B

I serve as an Adult Leader for Scouts, guiding and mentoring young people in developing leadership skills, teamwork, discipline, and a sense of responsibility. Through scouting activities, I help foster character development, community service, environmental stewardship, and lifelong learning among youth.
