About me¶

Kuzuzangpo la! I am Tenzin Namgyal, a teacher currently working at Jakar Higher Secondary School in the Bumthang district, Bhutan.

I began my service in 2011 as a Mathematics teacher at Bumdeling Lower Secondary School in Trashi Yangtse District. In 2016, I had the opportunity to further my studies in Thailand, where I pursued a Master's degree in Educational Technology and Communications. Upon completing my degree, I was assigned to my current school in 2018 and transitioned to teaching ICT (Information and Communication Technology).

I love exploring new things, and I feel blessed that, as an ICT teacher in the 21st century, I get to explore and learn about various technologies and their tools, which make our lives easier and more comfortable in unimaginable ways. I am very eager to learn more about networking, especially after I had the opportunity to train in System Administration for networking in India for a month towards the end of the 2023 academic year.

As the ICT teacher at my current school, my responsibilities extend beyond teaching students in grades 10 and 12. I also design certificates, banners, badges, name tags, and invitations. Additionally, I am responsible for creating the timetable for the entire staff, managing the school's network across four ICT labs and the entire campus (including staff quarters), and overseeing the whole school's CCTV surveillance system to ensure a safe environment.

In conclusion, I do not view these responsibilities as mere tasks, but rather as great opportunities to learn. Every time I undertake a task, I learn something new. My resilience has grown immensely, and I will never stop raising bar for myself. I am confident that this short-term course on Data Science will provide me with valuable knowledge to further my growth.
