About me
I’m Þórarinn Bjartur Breiðfjörð, an electronics technician, director of Fab Lab Ísafjörður since 2014, and educator.
Background
My work focuses on electronics, embedded systems, digital fabrication, and open-source hardware. Through the Fab Lab network, I’ve worked at the intersection of education, prototyping, and innovation. I also teach various electronics courses in upper secondary school.

Why Cyber Security
I've spent years working with electronics, innovation, and education. Cybersecurity is an area I've always been curious about but never explored in depth.
When I took the Microelectronics program, I was stepping outside my comfort zone in a field that was still familiar to me. Cybersecurity feels like stepping outside my comfort zone into a field where I'm not even sure where the comfort zone is yet.
I hope to bring what I learn back to my region and help make cybersecurity more accessible to students, makers, and professionals.
