About me

Hi!

I´m Szilárd A. Kados a hungarian engineer living in Spain for the past 17+ years. I´m specialized in Industrial Design and Organizational Engineering, with extensive experience in digital fabrication, engineering education and laboratory management. I have started and crafted the Deusto FabLab at the University of Deusto and have developed an innovative teaching methodology inspired by MIT´s How to Make (Almost) Anything course.

I am an experienced educator in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering subject with a strong focus on bridging theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. Currently I´m responsible for coordinating and mentoring multiple laboratories within the Engineering Faculty at the University of Deusto, overseeing areas such as digital and manual fabrication, manual prototyping, mechanics, and thermal engineering practices.

I´m also an active member of the Global Evaluation Team, contributing with Node Assesment and Global Evaluations. Huge shoutout to Nuria, my Fab-related godmother and constant source of wisdom!

I´m passionate about continuous learning and innovation, with a proactive mindset oriented toward exploring new technologies, methodologies and interdisciplinary challenges.

Thank you for your time!
