About me - Foolish Poor Yoo¶
Hi! I’m Kyunghee Yoo (nickname is “Stellar” or “Decoy”), a cross-disciplinary Graphic User Interface designer shaped by a lifelong journey across materials, media, and human experience. My path has moved from fashion to visual communication, from corporate technology environments to independent inclusive design practice. Along the way, I’ve learned to see design not simply as form-making, but as a strategic tool for dignity, connection, and growth. Living and working across cultures has strengthened my adaptability and long-term perspective.
저는 어리석고 가난한 유경희라는 사람입니다.
My background¶
I was born and raised in Korea(South) and lived the first chapter of my life as an ordinary citizen. Today, I am building a second chapter of my life in Japan, guided by a compass of curiosity and resilience. At my current university, I am not only pursuing a Master’s degree but also polishing the technical and human insights to bridge academia with real-world empathy.
In my youth, I flew hang gliders and paragliders, navigating the open sky alone. Even as a novice in engineering, I see a similar spirit in this field—balancing precision with courage while navigating complex systems and uncertainty. With that mindset, I look forward to growing together with all of you through Fab Future Academy—exploring, building, and advancing our capabilities as a community shaping the future.
Previous work¶
(Mon Feb 23) In this week, I have designed the chip symbol and then, fabracated on the 1mm Acrill plate using the UV printer.
- The logo name is “SIL”, made by an appreciation on someone with human warmth and dancing hands.

- Crying Lamp 2025 — made possible by my fabulous FabLab instructor in Japan — that experience hooked me into the class of Microelectronics 2026. Listen to the Lamp’s Voice
